Organizations

I’ve worked with small businesses, University departments, collaboratives, and nonprofits to offer consulting, coaching, and training.

Consulting, Training, & Facilitation

I offer the following types of consulting:

  • Engaging and Effective Meeting Coaching & Training. If your meetings aren’t as effective or fun as they could be, or your group processes need refining, I can help. I offer training on engaging meetings, facilitation, and inclusive group decision making. I also offer follow up meeting coaching to observe groups in action and then coach the leaders and facilitators on making the meetings more effective.
  • Facilitation. My facilitation approach is inclusive, participatory, and engaged. I have facilitated everything from strategic planning sessions to community work groups to planning meetings for Collaboratives. If your group would benefit from facilitation training, I give workshops ranging from one to three hours.
  • Program Evaluation. My background is in utilization-focused evaluation, which means that any evaluation consulting that I do will be designed so that you can actively use the results to improve your program, report on outcomes to your board or funders, or better understand your impact on your clients. I have extensive experience in both outcome and formative evaluation using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including online and telephone surveys as well as case studies.
  • Custom Training. Is there a particular topic that you’d like training about in your organization? Ask me for quote about designing training that specifically needs your organization’s needs.

Leadership Coaching

Why Coaching?

I believe that our health and the world’s health are linked.  Really. We live in an interconnected universe. If you are stressed, have personal challenges that keep impacting your work life, or are scared of having that difficult conversation with your funder or business partner – it WILL impact your ability to make change and be effective in the world. At the same time, if your organization inhibits your ability to grow, learn, and play, it limits its ability to be effective in the world. So why not incorporate practices that help you as an individual grow, and create organizations that can further that growth path and exemplify what is possible?

Coaching Offerings

I provide coaching for individuals in organizations focused on a variety of goals:

  • Strengths Coaching: This coaching will help you know what your signature strengths are, develop a plan to use them more in their daily life, and know when you are overusing them (Coaching uses the VIA Character Strengths survey)
  • Vision Coaching: One of the most effective ways to move your life and organization forward is by developing an inspiring, intuitive vision. Coaching can help this process.
  • Open-ended Coaching: Coaching topics are often determined by specific challenges or decisions (organizational or personal) facing you or others being coached
  • New Position Coaching: This type of coaching helps a person in a new role or with new responsibilities better understand their strengths and blind spots, and have support in developing the skills and abilities needed for their new role.

Three-Month Coaching Package

If you’d like to dive into coaching, then working intensely with me for four months is the way to do it. This package offers coaching every other week for 60-90 minutes. It also includes support in between sessions and assistance in finding resources and exercises that would be useful.  Sessions can be done in person or over the phone. The cost is $2,000. If you are a small organization (less than 25 people) contact me to discuss reduced coaching rate options.
